Gym and storage Lomax + Wood Timber Bespoke Garden Room in Essex

A made-to-order timber log cabin fully insulated was manufactured to suit the existing concrete base. It replaced the previously basic shed that the owners had previously made do with. The brief was to create a space for use as a gym throughout the year, with an additional room for use as storage.

The quality timber garden room was provided with 68mm timber garden room sections, insulation to the walls and roof, double glazed windows and doors with espagnolette locking and a transparent graphite grey finish. Furthermore, rather than a suspended timber floor a concrete screed was laid with 20mm sprung rubber floor tiles on top which are ideal for mid to high impact exercise, they provide a mixture of comfort and safety for a gym workout at home.

Since installation of the timber garden room gym the owners say that they find it far easier to maintain their fitness routine. There is no issue with travel time, queueing for a machine or avoiding a busy period, it is there ready for use when it suits them.

The timber sliding doors with fixed sidelights allow plenty of light into the gym area and also a view onto the garden, providing a pleasant distraction during a workout. The doors are double glazed with toughened safety glass and with espagnolette locking. A top hung window in each room, both the gym and storage area, provides further natural daylight and ventilation when required.

Using the Lomax + Wood Gold insulation service the owners were provided with a single point of contact to design, manufacture and install a completed building which included sourcing and installing the electrics and fittings.
